At Reingold, Jack manages internal business operations and financial and information systems while lending his business analysis and marketing expertise to a variety of clients. As a strategist, he has advised on how to develop tactics and evaluation metrics and has managed comprehensive communications and outreach campaigns. Mr. Benson has led advertising, video projects, live web conferences, social media campaigns, and the development of websites for a variety of clients, including the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Department of Education's National Assessment Governing Board, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Community College of the District of Columbia, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

Prior to joining Reingold, Jack was a Principal at Birdwood Capital, a venture consulting firm providing strategic, marketing, and financial expertise to companies in emerging industries. There he worked directly with senior leadership of small to mid-sized companies to formulate and implement business and growth strategies. His projects also included providing advisory services to an early-stage innovator in the field of using functional magnetic resonance imaging brain scan-based research to interpret the impact and effectiveness of brand marketing and advertising.

Previously, Jack served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer for Varsity Group Inc., a leading provider of e-commerce solutions for educational institutions nationwide. There he developed and executed an aggressive turnaround strategy in a public company environment, slashing losses from $34 million to $2.2 million in just one year–and delivering the first profitable year in the company's history a year after that. During his tenure annual revenue growth averaged over 40% and operating income increased over 80% annually. He led annual negotiations and managed the company's relationship with its primary supplier, resulting in significant cost savings and service level enhancements, while maintaining direct and indirect oversight of operations, customer service, and technology functions. Jack's other experience includes consulting at Dean & Company, where he worked closely with Fortune 500 clients to identify growth opportunities, develop marketing strategies, integrate acquisitions, and refine retail distribution strategies. He received an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of business at the University of Virginia, where he was a Shermet Scholar and recipient of the Genovese Fellowship. He has a bachelor's degree from Colgate University.
