Susan Thomas is a strategic facilitation executive recognized for outstanding planning skills, innovation, and bottom-line project management. As a vice president at Reingold, she develops strategic alliances and facilitates high-level meetings to match Reingold's capabilities to the needs of new clients and strengths of potential partners. She also brings valuable experience with small business and veterans' groups to the Reingold team.

Susan recently served as senior advisor to the Associate Administrator of Capital Access at the U.S. Small Business Administration, where she was the senior public relations and communications liaison. She also reviewed and drafted legislation, performed program evaluations of the SBA's loan guarantee and technical assistance programs, and prepared senior SBA leadership for appearances before Congressional committees and for media interviews with outlets including The New York Times, CNBC's The Big Talker with Donny Deutsch, American Banker, and CNN.com.

Before joining the SBA, Susan was a senior consultant with Reingold, where she developed strategies and materials for a variety of clients. For the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, she launched and facilitated an online community of 400 women who have had or are considering having plastic surgery, developing surveys for use within this community, monitoring their sessions, and developing recommendations for marketing and public education based on the results. Susan also conducted market research for the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and managed communications and outreach for ePALS, an international Internet-based educational network.

Susan formerly worked for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, developing initiatives to enhance corporate visibility and mobilize volunteers. There she championed the nationally recognized veterans' small business initiative, VETWORK YOUR BUSINESS, a collaborative grassroots effort of the chamber, Lockheed Martin, Merck, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Southeast Small Business Development Center, and the Procurement Technical Assistance Center. Susan raised the initiative's profile through steady awareness and educational efforts. In one year, VETWORK YOUR BUSINESS helped spur the introduction of a state law to set government procurement goals for veteran businesses and increase service-disabled veterans' listings in the state's contracting registry by 23 percent.

Susan also managed "Partners for Success," a development campaign for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce that mobilized corporate volunteers to raise $2.1 million, a 67 percent budget increase. For her efforts, she received the 2006 Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year Award from the U.S. Small Business Administration for both the Philadelphia district office and Region III, encompassing Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

Susan has a bachelor's degree from La Salle University and an MBA from the Villanova University School of Business, both in Pennsylvania.
