Beauty for Life

Client
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) represent board-certified plastic surgeons who provide the highest standard of care for patients who choose cosmetic surgery procedures.

Challenge
In response to increasing numbers of nonplastic surgeons entering the field of cosmetic medicine, ASAPS and ASPS joined forces and asked Reingold to develop research-based strategies and tools to educate patients about safe plastic surgery and help plastic surgeons maintain their market share.

Enter Reingold
Reingold created an attractive patient guide, Beauty for Life, that vividly illustrates the aging process and describes the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures from the teen years through the 60s and beyond. Then we introduced this guide to an entirely new audience of Internet users through an interactive Beauty for Life website that cultivates a loyal community of visitors interested in plastic surgery and gives them reasons to keep coming back. Visitors to the site are invited to take a confidential quiz about their age, appearance, beauty regimen, lifestyle, and body image. The resulting Beauty for Life plan, created especially for each user, offers advice on both lifestyle changes and cosmetic medical procedures that can help them achieve their personal goals. Visitors who complete the quiz may also sign up to receive Beauty for Life emails with the latest news about the cosmetic procedures that interest them most. Each month Reingold creates emails tailored to their personal needs, which encourages them to not only return to the website but also use our "tell a friend" tool to share it with others.

Results
In the first six months following its launch, the Beauty for Life website attracted a total of 74,664 visitors, including 49,880 visitors referred from 4,334 different websites.
