Reingold Helps Kick Off a Culture of Health at Veterans Affairs

Capturing the attention of thousands of broadcast viewers and hundreds of in-person attendees, a highly praised Wellness Is Now (WIN) kickoff event at the Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office in September showcased Reingold's persuasive and organizational strengths. As a subcontractor to C2 Technologies, Inc., Reingold coordinated the kickoff as part of a campaign to promote ADVANCE, an unprecedented VA-wide investment in human resources development, workforce engagement, and talent management.

"Everybody wants to be healthy, but the trick is to go from wishing for something to working toward it," said Rachele Cooper, Reingold's project manager for VA initiatives. "We knew if we could help VA employees realize that wellness is within their reach—and that by improving their own well-being they can better serve Veterans—they'd be eager to get involved."

As part of VA's ADVANCE team, Reingold is encouraging more than 300,000 department employees to take steps to improve their personal well-being and professional capabilities. Working with our partners, C2 Technologies and TMP Government, Reingold publicized WIN widely across VA in the months before the launch, using intra-VA media channels to urge employees to take advantage of the program. We also distributed promotional materials to get employees talking about WIN and ADVANCE.

As a centerpiece of the kick-off, Reingold produced an engaging video about WIN's offerings and benefits. The video features endorsements by U.S. Surgeon General Regina Benjamin and VA Deputy Secretary W. Scott Gould along with enthusiastic testimonials by participants in the WIN pilot project.
