New Profiles Attracts International Students to U.S. Community Colleges
International students will discover a world of educational opportunity in a new edition of Profiles, the American Association of Community College's one-stop guide to U.S. community colleges. Reingold developed a new masthead and user-friendly format for this signature publication (click here to view) and helped market the publication to AACC member institutions and international students.
"Profiles places U.S. community colleges 'top of mind' for tens of thousands of students around the globe," said Reingold production manager Scott San Martin, who directed the design and IT project. "It details the unique features of 93 U.S. colleges and provides outreach that they likely could not afford on their own."
The publication includes detailed information about the advantages of studying in America at a community college—at a fraction of the cost for most four-year institutions—as well as how to apply for college, obtain a student visa, find housing, manage money, acclimate to U.S. culture, and more. Each college profile includes an overview of the school, areas of study, application deadlines, estimated cost, and the universities where students most commonly transfer to complete a four-year degree.
About 13,000 copies of the print version were distributed through EducationUSA, a global network of more than 400 advising centers under the State Department's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs.
