Their mission. Operation Smile is a private, nonprofit volunteer medical services organization providing reconstructive surgery and related health care to children and young adults in developing countries and the United States. Operation Smile provides education and training around the world to physicians and other health care professionals to achieve long-term self-sufficiency.

Our role. Along the way, Reingold has helped Operation Smile extend its mission through organizational development and fundraising initiatives. We crafted a five-year strategic plan to guide the organization’s growth and expansion at home and abroad, produced and executed a development program and created a new, more visible and memorable identity to help them start out in the ever-more-crowded nonprofit sector. We wrote and managed the successful nomination for the first-ever Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize, a $1 million award over the course of our eight-year partnership, Operation Smile has grown from a $6 million program to a $66 million enterprise.
