ePals/In2Books
Client
ePals/In2Books creates and distributes research, proven learning programs and services, and a suite of school-safe and protected technologies—such as emails and blogs—to foster collaborative learning among K-12 students worldwide.
Challenge
When ePals merged with In2Books, the new corporation needed a fresh identity and creative ways to market its products and services through partner organizations and directly to schools, teachers, and young learners.
Enter Reingold
Reingold blended modern styling, vivid colors, and kid-friendly typography to reflect ePals' creative approach to learning and appeal to adults and children alike. We featured the logo and new ePals tagline, "Where Learners Connect," on the full array of identity and promotional products. We also developed ePals' corporate and product brochures, using messaging and design that capture ePals' mission to provide safe online learning experiences and evoke the excitement and discovery of reading. To introduce ePals' In2Books program and the benefits of matching students with adult pen pals who read books with them, Reingold produced a video featuring interviews with the leading educators who developed the In2Books curriculum and the online version of In2Books, as well as children who were using the prototype of the program. ePals presented the video at major educational meetings, including the American Library Association's annual conference, to demonstrate the value of In2Books to teachers and administrators and further position ePals as a leader in technology and online learning for kids.
Results
ePals has used Reingold's promotional products and collateral materials to reach out to hundreds of teachers at conferences nationwide. Even before we launched a formal campaign, our materials got a strong response. Our flier for ePals' Pizza Hut BookIt Campaign achieved a 50 percent conversion from page views to registrations for the Summer Reading Program. And our work with the Junior Achievement Partnership disseminated Summer Reading Program information to 2,500 teachers in the national capital region. Today ePals is connected to more than 10,000 students in 1,000 classrooms across more than 200 countries.
