To meet this global challenge, Operation Smile is building a sustainable network of volunteers and partner organizations to serve children, improve healthcare in developing countries, bridge gaps in medical education, create landmark alliances, and instill humanitarian values. Now, Operation Smile is a global partnership among business and civic leaders, policymakers, philanthropists, physicians, health ministers, humanitarians, academics, researchers, and smiling children around the world.

Solution: Today, Operation Smile volunteers serve 8,000+ kids a year, and carry advanced medical education to more than 21 countries. In just one, 18-country, 63-day world tour, 5,300 surgeries changed three times as many lives. Winner of the first $1 million Hilton Humanitarian Prize, Operation Smile is the recipient of countless awards from Presidents and prestigious organizations worldwide.
